Business leaders from across Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire are invited to attend a special economic briefing led by Head of Policy for the Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes Chambers of Commerce Simon Cox and Jamie Jordan, Deputy Agent for the Bank of England’s East Midlands Agency.
The session will provide an overview of the UK’s current economic outlook, including the Bank of England’s latest thinking on inflation, growth, and labour market trends. Drawing on insights gathered from businesses across the country, Jamie Jordan will outline how these factors are shaping monetary policy considerations and the broader economic environment.
The event aims to help local organisations better understand the forces influencing the UK economy and what they could mean for business planning in the months ahead. It will also highlight how the Bank of England engages with businesses across Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire to gather on-the-ground intelligence that informs its economic assessments.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the Bank of England and take part in a question-and-answer session, providing a chance to raise issues affecting their organisations and the wider regional economy.
The briefing is expected to be of particular interest to business owners, senior leaders, and professionals keen to gain deeper insight into the economic factors shaping the UK business landscape.
Simon Cox, Head of Policy for the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce said “We’re looking forward to local businesses engaging in the event and understanding more about the economic landscape.”
“It’s key that local businesses are aware of what the economic landscape looks like and also provides an opportunity for businesses to ask any questions they may have.”
The event takes place on Friday 17th April at 10.00 am online and interested parties can book their tickets by visiting here
