Bauhaus Education is expanding its tutor recruitment across Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire as demand continues to grow for alternative provision and SEND support across the East Midlands.
The independent education provider, which operates centres in Northampton and Nottingham, is seeking up to 25 new tutors for face-to-face delivery, alongside increasing its national online provision as part of a five-year growth strategy led by chief executive Tutu Alaka.
The organisation has seen demand for its services rise by 60%, with referrals from schools and local authorities increasing as mainstream education and specialist provision continue to face mounting pressure.
Tutu Alaka, who joined in 2025, said the recruitment drive reflects the growing need for flexible, high-quality support for young people who are struggling to remain engaged in mainstream education.
“Schools and local authorities are under increasing pressure around capacity, attendance and SEND support, and we are seeing a clear rise in demand for alternative provision that is both flexible and personalised,” said Alaka.
“This recruitment drive will allow us to support more young people across the East Midlands while staying true to the approach that has helped us build strong relationships with schools, families and local partners.”
Founded in 2016, Bauhaus Education has grown from a single tuition centre into an OFSTED-registered provider and approved AQA and Edexcel examination centre. Its services include tuition and intervention, SEND and EHCP-aware support, private examination entry and specialist provision for students at risk of exclusion.
As the organisation marks its tenth anniversary year, it says the focus now is on increasing capacity and expanding its reach to meet demand across the East Midlands and beyond.
Alaka added: “The next phase of growth is about scaling impact. We want to work even more closely with schools, local authorities and other partners to make sure more young people get the support they need to thrive.”
