Football fans looking for fun now that the season has finished can instead support local charity tournament Silverstone Soccer next month.
With just five weeks to go before the seventh annual five-a-side fundraiser, hosted by Northampton’s leading vehicle leasing firm Silverstone Leasing, organisers are urging the local community to get behind the popular event.
A total of 12 businesses have signed up to compete for the much-coveted winner’s title at Daventry Town Football Club on Sunday 28th June – Silverstone Leasing, Northampton Town Football Club, Imagine Building Services, Carmac, Wollaston BMW, Asset Engineering, Ratesync, Pro Action Martial Arts, Halo Finance, Equitech, Singer Vehicle Design, and United African Association.
Last year, it was first-time entrants Northampton Town Football Club who took the top spot, with Asset Engineering as runner-up. With both teams playing again this summer, it will be a battle to take the Silverstone Soccer trophy.
As well as the football fun, the event also includes a bouncy castle, DJ music set and CLICK Arts Foundation will be running a workshop during the day.
All funds raised will be split between the CLICK Arts Foundation, which support groups who focus on social inclusion and personal development through the arts, and The Lewis Foundation, which provides free gifts and support packs to adult cancer patients in hospitals across the Midlands.
To help bump up the fundraising total, sponsors Singlepoint, BMW Wollaston, Pro Action Martial Arts, Ashby Computers, One Four Six, Galahad and KCI Complete Office Solutions, have also contributed to the day.
Organiser of the event and Silverstone Leasing team leader Ryan Bishop: “While the tournament is now at capacity for teams, we would love to see spectators coming to cheer them on and help with the fundraising during the day. After seven years, Silverstone Soccer is more than just a football tournament, it is an important feature in the community calendar.
“All support is gratefully received, and we hope to see big crowds at this year’s event to raise as much money as possible for CLICK Arts Foundation and The Lewis Foundation, both of which really makes a difference to people’s lives in our community. We are proud to be championing the work of such wonderful charities.
“Save the date, create a banner, make up a chant for your favourite team and come along to support Silverstone Soccer.” For more information on Silverstone Soccer 2026, or on leasing a vehicle for personal or business use, contact Silverstone Leasing on 01604 978480 or visit https://www.silverstoneleasing.com/silverstone-soccer-2026/
