A Northamptonshire-based asbestos removal and biohazard cleaning company has been recognised with globally recognised certification, demonstrating its commitment to high-quality practices.
Specialist Remediation Solutions (SRS) of Desborough has been awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Management standard, which is based on several quality management principles including a commitment to effective process management, a strong focus on customer care and dedication to continual improvement.
ISO 9001 certification is an independent verification that an organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS) meets international standard requirements which are set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Achieving the standard requires strong leadership, with interconnected, clear systems and processes for all staff to follow, as well as regular assessments to identify operational risks and opportunities.

ISO 9001 is not the first standard that SRS has achieved. The leading industry experts are HSE licenced for asbestos removal, which requires a thorough safety assessment from the Asbestos Licensing Unit and have also just renewed their SMAS (Safety Management Advisory Services) Worksafe accreditation.
SMAS is a UK health and safety certification for contractors and suppliers which proves compliance with core safety standards through the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)-endorsed Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) framework.
