Northamptonshire Businesses Invited to Support Men’s Mental Health at Free International Men’s Day Event

Businesses from across Northamptonshire are being encouraged to come together this November for an important event marking International Men’s Day, led by Sunny Singh from the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce.

Taking place on Thursday 19th November from 10:30am until 1:00pm at the Hilton Northampton, the free event will shine a spotlight on men’s mental health—an issue that continues to affect individuals, families and workplaces across the county.

For the past 15 years, Sunny Singh has been a passionate champion of men’s mental health, working tirelessly to encourage open conversations, challenge stigma and create environments where people feel able to ask for help. This year’s event continues that mission, bringing together businesses and the wider community to recognise the importance of supporting mental wellbeing.

Held under the theme “Show Me Your Thing (That Helps You Mentally)”, the event invites people to share the hobbies, interests and activities that help them maintain positive mental health. Whether it’s exercise, music, photography, walking, gardening or spending time with loved ones, the aim is to demonstrate that everyone has their own way of looking after their wellbeing and that talking about it can encourage others to do the same.

At the heart of the event is a powerful message: “I see you. I can relate to you. I appreciate you.” It reflects the importance of recognising one another, listening without judgement and creating supportive workplaces and communities.

Up to 200 businesses are expected to attend, offering not only valuable networking opportunities but also the chance to engage with one of the most significant conversations facing today’s workforce.

Members of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce can book their place online, while non-members are warmly invited to register their interest and attend.

The event aims to leave a lasting impact by reminding everyone that supporting men’s mental health is not just a conversation for one day of the year, but a commitment that benefits individuals, businesses and society as a whole.

Non Members of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce can book via calling 01604 490 490.
