Senior business leader Vasiliki Fragkou joins growing Northamptonshire technology firm ITFixio

Northamptonshire -based IT and cybersecurity provider ITFixio has strengthened its leadership team as Vasiliki ‘Vasi’ Fragkou officially joins the business full-time as Operations Director.

The appointment marks another milestone for the growing Northamptonshire technology company, following its recent move to new offices at Corby Innovation Hub and continued expansion of its team, client base and local partnerships.

Vasi has been closely involved with ITFixio since its early stages, working alongside founder and CEO Nik Gazis as the business has developed. She will now focus on ITFixio full-time, leading operations while supporting strategy, client relationships, partnerships, marketing and commercial growth.

She brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience spanning business operations, strategy, innovation, risk management, team development and highly regulated environments.

A new chapter after more than 20 years in MedTech

Before joining ITFixio full-time, Vasi built a successful career across science, diagnostics and medical technology, progressing into senior executive and board-level positions.

Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Director at Magnasense Technologies/AegirBio UK, with responsibilities spanning operational leadership, R&D, quality and regulatory environments, commercial strategy, risk management and team development.

Now, she is bringing that experience into a very different industry.

Vasi said: “After more than 20 years in science, diagnostics and MedTech, I never imagined my next chapter would look quite like this. But over the past year, a completely new world has opened up to me – and I’ve genuinely loved it.

“Technology may be a different industry, but so much of my previous experience is transferable. Businesses still need good people, robust processes, strong risk management and partners they can trust.

“I also have plenty still to learn, which is part of what excites me. I’ve always enjoyed a challenge.”

Discovering Northamptonshire’s business community

The career change has also introduced Vasi to a new professional community.

Through ITFixio, she has become increasingly involved in Northamptonshire’s business scene, attending networking events and exhibitions and building relationships with businesses and organisations across the county.

ITFixio is a member of several local business networks and has become particularly active within the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce. The company also sponsored the Diversity in the Workplace Award at the 2026 Northamptonshire Business Awards, an event recently covered by NN Business News as part of its wider coverage of the county’s business community.

Vasi said: “One of the biggest surprises for me has been just how much I’ve enjoyed becoming part of the local business community.

“I’ve met so many wonderful people through networking events, exhibitions, the Northamptonshire Chamber and other local business networks.

“I love hearing the stories behind different businesses and meeting people I probably would never have crossed paths with during my previous career. Some of those introductions have developed into genuine relationships and friendships, which has made this new chapter even more enjoyable.”

It was through that growing involvement that Vasi realised ITFixio was no longer something she wanted to support from the sidelines.

“Somewhere along the way, I realised I wanted to be fully part of what we were building,” she said.

“So, while making the move full-time feels like a big career change, in many ways it also feels like a very natural next step.”

Supporting ITFixio’s next stage of growth

Based at Corby Innovation Hub, ITFixio provides managed IT support and cybersecurity services to SMEs across Northamptonshire and beyond.

Its services include managed IT support, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, cloud solutions, backup and disaster recovery, networking and communications.

The company has also been investing in the next generation of talent, becoming an Employer Partner of The Bedford College Group and recently welcoming an apprentice to its growing team.

Founder and CEO Nik Gazis said having Vasi officially join the company full-time would help ITFixio move into its next stage of development.

“Vasi has been part of the ITFixio journey from the beginning, so in many ways this doesn’t feel like a new appointment,” he said.

“What changes is that we now have her experience, energy and focus within the business full-time.

“We come from very different professional backgrounds, and that is one of our strengths. Vasi brings years of experience in leadership, operations, strategy and highly regulated environments, which complements our technical expertise extremely well.

“We have ambitious plans for ITFixio, but we want to grow in the right way – remaining personal, approachable and close to the businesses we support.”

For Vasi, the move is as much about enjoying the journey as it is about business growth.

She added: “There’s lots still to learn, plenty of challenges ahead and some exciting plans for ITFixio.

“But I’m genuinely looking forward to what comes next – and very grateful to all the people who have made us feel so welcome along the way.”
